Every James Bond Henchmen Ranked

2. Oddjob - Goldfinger

Adolph Gettler James Bond
MGM

Oddjob (Harold Sakata), a strong and mute Korean who serves Auric Goldfinger (Gert Frobbe) uses his hat as a deadly weapon, is one of the most popular Bond characters ever and it's not hard to see why.

Of course, he is rather wacky, but in the best possible way and just like the rest of this classic Bond film, the tone is very well-balanced indeed. Oddjob is silly in an extremely entertaining manner, but he's also very sinister and threatening since he kills so many named characters throughout the film - he's responsible for the iconic death by gold paint moment, for example.

As such, he's another fantastic mixture of silly and scary, making him a ridiculously fun and effective bad guy. His fight scene with Bond is absolutely great too and one of the best action scenes of the early films.

Bond's post-kill quip after electrocuting Oddjob - "He blew a fuse" - is particularly special as well, further cementing Oddjob as a definitive Bond henchman. Who could possibly be better?
