Every James Bond Movie Pre-Credits Scene Ranked Worst To Best

3. Moonraker - Skydiving

James Bond Goldeneye Opening

Every Bond film has something absolutely awesome in it - even the worst ones.

Moonraker might've been a badly acted, tonally misjudged and spectacularly stupid failure but it does kick off with a masterful pre-credits sequence that packs a feature-film's worth of thrills into just a few minutes and remains one of the very best Bond openings to date.

This brilliant opening - which features Bond, who is falling from a plane, trying to wrestle a parachute away from a henchman in mid-air all while being pursued by Jaws - is a beautifully crafted set-piece that still looks absolutely great, is superbly paced and makes for an absolutely exhilarating viewing in every sense.

Even if the rest of the movie leaned too far into sci-fi, this opening very much represents the best of James Bond action and gloriously showcases the mad thrills that have made this franchise so enduring and iconic.
