Every James Bond Movie Ranked Worst To Best
19. Quantum Of Solace (2008)
Undeniably dull where its geopolitical water supply plotline is concerned, Quantum of Solace isn't quite as bad as its detractors would have you believe, but is certainly a major lull in Daniel Craig's tenure as Bond.
Villain and lacklustre threats aside, the film does have some sparks of brilliance, with Judi Dench's increased role as M, the thrilling opening car chase, and the mid-film fight sequence set to the opera Tosca all being major highlights.
Unfortunately, the waning final act and the oddly paced middle let Quantum down massively in the end, as does Olga Kurylenko's thoroughly uninteresting ally Camille.
A film that's sure to get a critical reappraisal now that the Craig era is over, Quantum of Solace is neither terrible nor a masterpiece, but where it lets fans down with its plot it surely makes things right with its audacious action sequences.
