Every James Bond Movie Ranked Worst To Best

20. You Only Live Twice (1967)

Spectre Daniel Craig
MGM/UA

You Only Live Twice is probably higher on other people's lists, but watching it again makes one thing crystal clear: This film has aged terribly.

Not only does it feature the infamous sequence in which Bond disguises himself as an Asian businessman, but it's also one of the franchise's most atrociously plotted instalments, attempting to do far too much with its limited premise and offering one of the zaniest villain plots of the series in the process.

All that aside, though, it's hard not to be taken in by Connery's typically charming performance or the film's final act, which does a lot to make the rest of it worth watching, fake marriages, casual racism and all.

Written by Roald Dahl (for some reason), You Only Live Twice is middle-of-the-road Bond all the way, even if its flesh-eating piranhas and classic Blofeld reveal make it great fun at its best.
