Every James Wan Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
4. The Conjuring 2
Though it might lack a little of the original's bite, The Conjuring 2 is still one the most exquisitely crafted horror sequels of the last decade.
Wan returns for this London-set follow-up which amps up the spine-tingling suspense and delivers some of the most creatively twisted set-pieces in any recent major horror film.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga of course steal the show once again as Ed and Lorraine Warren, but the entire cast crushes it here, particularly young Madison Wolfe as put-upon Janet Hodgson.
The iconic nun scene would be enough to earn The Conjuring 2 a place in the annals of all-time horror sequels, but it's also got Patrick Wilson singing Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love." How can you not love that?
While largely following the original's formula, Wan's inventive filmmaking provides just enough tweaks to ensure this follow-up never feels like an also-ran.
