Every Jared Leto Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

8. Mr. Nobody (2009)

Jared Leto Suicide Squad
Wild Bunch

Without question the most underappreciated film in Leto's entire filmography, Mr. Nobody is an incredibly ambitious sci-fi drama from Jaco Van Dormael.

Taking place in a future where mortality has been conquered, the world's final mortal man, 118-year-old Nemo (Leto), recalls key moments from his life which soon enough reveal blatant contradictions.

While fundamentally messy and definitely overlong at 141 minutes, Mr. Nobody is a grand, visually stunning swing for the fences, with Leto giving one of his strongest and most emotive performances in the central role.

Its reach may ultimately exceed its grasp, but this is still an intoxicatingly heady riff on so many ripe sci-fi concepts - namely memory, choice, mortality. It certainly deserved a better fate than to be largely ignored by the mainstream upon release.
