Every Jared Leto Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
2. Requiem For A Dream (2000)
Darren Aronofsky's addiction drama Requiem for a Dream is one of the most devastating films ever made - period.
Leto stars as Harry, a heroin addict who over the course of the grim runtime falls increasingly down the rabbit-hole of addiction from which he is unable to free himself.
Much as Leto is our protagonist, the film is categorically stolen away by Ellen Burstyn, who plays Leto's screen mother and received an Oscar nomination for her mesmerising performance.
Between its non-judgmental writing, Aronofsky's sensorily bewildering direction, and that unforgettable musical score, Requiem for a Dream is a tough sit but one that absolutely justifies its unrelenting bleakness.
