Every Jared Leto Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

26. Basil (1998)

Jared Leto Suicide Squad
Buena Vista International

Jared Leto starring in a period drama is one thing, but with an English accent to boot? There truly aren't any words.

Basil is really a slushy historical melodrama any way you slice it, with the almost impossibly attractive Leto and Claire Forlani playing a young aristocrat and the materialistic object of his affection respectively.

Though certainly watchable, there's a distinct lack of chemistry between Leto and Forlani throughout, and while Leto's scenes opposite Christian Slater fare better, neither quite manages to pull off a fully convincing accent.

While technically the only Leto film to score 0% on Rotten Tomatoes to date, Basil's also only got five reviews, which speaks more to how thoroughly it's evaporated from the cultural consciousness entirely.
