Every M. Night Shyamalan Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
11. After Earth (2013)
This Will and Jaden Smith-starring sci-fi actioner has one major flaw above all others: it stars Will Smith, who is typically best at playing a forthright man of action, and forces him to sit in a chair for the vast majority of the movie while his son gets the bulk of the heavy lifting.
There's just nothing interesting here at all: the younger Smith isn't a compelling lead, the CGI creatures look generic and dull, and it took itself way, way too seriously.
The film's bad enough that it earned comparisons to the infamous John Travolta calamity Battlefield Earth. It may be better than The Last Airbender on any "objective" filmmaking level, but it's also less hilarious and entertaining.
