Every M. Night Shyamalan Movie Ranked Worst To Best

11. Glass (2019)

Signs Mel Gibson
Universal Pictures

The biggest issue with Glass, the third and final chapter in a surprise trilogy that combines three of Shyamalan's most iconic characters, is how much it wastes its potential and assassinates its key players.

Following Unbreakable's duo David Dunn (Bruce Willis) and Elijah Pierce (Samuel L. Jackson) as they cross paths with Split's villainous protagonist Wendell (James McAvoy) in a mental health facility, Glass takes aim at comic book mythology and the histories of its troubled characters with twisty heavy-handedness.

Brilliantly performed and starting strong, Glass wains under the weight of its twists and lacklustre finale, which, blended with Shyamalan's topsy-turvy direction, makes it seem like a desperate bid to capitalise on nostalgia.
