Every Main James Bond Villain Ranked Worst To Best
23. Dominic Greene (Quantum Of Solace, 2008)
Featuring in 2008’s frenetically cut Quantum of Solace, Greene is the mastermind behind the fiendishly dull plot to deprive Bolivia of its water supply. It’s hard to see how the creative staff managed to follow up Casino’s Royale introduction of the shadowy, omnipresent Quantum with a plot that could have been inspired by the empty bottles of Evian on their desk.
Greene's bland, greasy presence manifests the inescapable sense of dissatisfaction and mediocrity you’re left with after viewing. While Greene does earn points for his status as a grounded and more realistic villain, it’s hard for these points to hold much weight in a series filled to the brim with colourful, flamboyant, and most of all entertaining villains.
That his death actually occurs off-screen seems all too fitting for a character audiences are liable to forget as soon as he disappears from our screens.
Best Moment: His wide-eyed look of disbelief as James Bond, enemy of Quantum, appears in the very opera house hosting their supposedly secret meeting, followed by his wordless signal to his various suited thugs to kill him.
Worst Moment: Bond girl Camille’s suggestion that the villain's skills in the bedroom are sorely lacking all but forces the image of a sleazy, naked Greene into our heads.
