When Nick Fury paged Captain Marvel half way through being dusted off the face of the Earth, the internet lost its collective mind. Since her debut, many fans feel that she has underwhelmed slightly with her roles in Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, but there is no doubt that she is one of the most powerful Avengers there are.

Her defeat of Yon-Rogg and the Kree, and the subsequent rescue of the Skrulls didn’t seriously test her, as once she had her full powers there was little challenge in it for her. When she first came to Earth, she helped the Avengers murder Thanos before Avenging in the far reaches of space, but her defining moment came as a saviour in the Battle of Earth.

When Wanda began tearing Thanos to pieces, he demanded his forces to reign fire on the battlefield. With a disregard for his own soldiers, this could have effectively ended the battle, if not for the guns of his ship, the Sanctuary II, being drawn away. Mere seconds later, Thanos’ ship was destroyed, his army severely weakened, and it was all thanks to Carol Danvers.
