2. Steve Rogers - Being Worthy

Tony Stark may have been the face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for so long, but Steve Rogers was the heart and soul. A beacon of everything good and righteous, who would never back down from a fight, even if he was literally against an army on his own, to stand up for what he believed in.

There are plenty of times Captain America stood out as one of the greatest, if not the greatest hero the MCU had, many of which accumulated to him being considered worthy of lifting Mjolnir in the Avengers’ final battle with Thanos.

Back when the Earth's Mightiest Heroes joked about lifting Thor's hammer in Age of Ultron, Steve was able to shift it slightly, but it wasn't until the Battle of Earth that he properly lifted it for the first time. He couldn't have picked a better moment to prove himself worthy.

With the hunk of uru in his hand, he saved Thor's life, threw Thanos about like he was nothing, and took advantage of every ounce of lightning power he was granted. This was without question, one of the most spine-tingling cinematic moments in recent memory.
