Shang-Chi’s first MCU outing immediately allowed him the chance to save the entire universe by taking the Ten Rings from the arms of his father, and using the power within them to destroy the Dweller in Darkness. If not for him, the monster would have devoured the souls of men, women, and children across the entire planet.

Just a few days prior to this battle, Shang-Chi was living as Shaun the valet in San Francisco, yet he certainly adapted to the superhero life quickly.

He didn’t hesitate once as he walked into what could have easily been the end of his days. Aside from fighting a monster from another dimension, he had to deal with his father trying to kill him, reuniting with his sister, and getting a handle on arguably the most powerful artefacts in the entire MCU.
