Every Major Movie Sequel Of 2022 - Ranked From Worst To Best
6. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever didn't get close to the iconic heights of its predecessor, but considering the tragic circumstances of its creation, it feels practically miraculous.
Ryan Coogler delivers a film undeniably defined by Chadwick Boseman's death, but serving as more of a tribute than a dirge to the fallen star, while outlining several possible futures for the franchise.
While definitely rough around the narrative edges and egregiously overlong, the character work hits some majorly cutting emotional notes, with Letitia Wright and an Oscar-nominated Angela Bassett more than rising to the occasion.
And while there's no beating Michael B. Jordan's Erik Killmonger, Tenoch Huerta Mejía is a damn blast as villain Namor. It's just a shame about the rather forced inclusion of Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) and nauseatingly poor VFX during the third act.
