Every Marvel Comic Book Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
36. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
It's astonishing that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine was ever allowed to get to the end of his stand-alone trilogy, given how poorly it started. Because Origins should be considered absolutely irredeemable, even with a couple of insistent selling points.
First is the revelation that the world needed Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool (even with the grotesque version included in the movie), and then there's the performances of Jackman and Liev Schreiber, which are rather cruelly swallowed up in a film that makes X-Men: The Last Stand look like a masterpiece.
There's not really even any kitsch value (aside from the ludicrous cameo by Kevin Durand's Blob), and the decision to cast Will.I.Am looks like they were actually trying to make a turkey.
