34. Blade: Trinity
Despite the presence of WWE legend Triple H as one of the villain's muscle-bound henchmen, Blade Trinity is another low point in the career of David S Goyer, who wrote and directed it. Despite what Goyer would go on to do as part of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, it's this sort of material that makes his ability as a film-maker seriously questionable.
What should have been another R-rated, attitude-filled ballet became a commercially minded, dull and dim affair that seemed to have looked for any excuse to add Dracula to Blade's mythology. Did Blade need side-kicks? Even when one of them is Ryan Reynolds, it's just not necessary, and perhaps justifiably, Wesley Snipes sleepwalks through the whole thing.
It still made money, but it was a sad end to a great trilogy. Let's hope whatever they do next with the character is more like its two predecessors.
