Every Marvel Comic Book Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
22. Blade II
Having handled the first Blade pretty effectively, director Stephen Norrington decided to pass on the sequel, making way for Guillermo Del Toro to helm only his second Hollywood feature. He took his opportunity with relish, showing off the dark humour, swaggering style and colourful imagination he's now become synonymous with.
Blade II knows the value of being a B-Movie, using impressive fight choreography to distract from occasionally iffy CGI and adding a compelling villain in the shape of former pop star Luke Goss, who is surprisingly great.
Wesley Snipes is arguably even better than in the first movie, thanks in part to the better material, and his martial arts mastery and dry delivery make him the crown jewel on a great R-rated superhero exploitation mash-up.
