A Matt Damon-Edward Norton team-up is the stuff Hollywood dreams are made of (especially in '98), and John Dahl's shady drama allows them both to work brilliantly alongside each other.
Damon stars as a gambling addict forced to help his buddy Worm (Norton) pay a large loan. Damon is arrogant, morally compromised and yet completely endearing, and the film's ability to make even the most complex of characters likeable is a testament to the script and Norton and Damon's striking performances.
