From when she first joined the Avengers, Natasaha Romanoff could have gone the same way as Clint Barton. She too was surrounded by heroes far more powerful than herself, but while Hawkeye almost became the butt of the joke, Black Widow went on to become one of the most important members of the team ever.

She is extremely skilled in hand to hand combat, is a master with just about any weapon she can find, and was trained so intensely by the Red Room that she has never needed any powers.

Throughout her battles with the Avengers, she has fought a Chitauri army, Ultron's army of robots, and even the formidable Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive, and more than held her own on every single occasion. She has rarely looked out of place with the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Though there has never been any hint or reason to believe that she has super powers throughout her decade in the MCU, there are rumours circulating that her solo movie will reveal that she was in fact administered with some form of Erskine's super soldier serum. This would go a long way to explaining how she came to be so perfectly skilled in so many forms of combat.
