Though Pietro Maximoff was born as a normal child into a normal Sokovian family, he was far from it when he joined the Avengers. After his family was killed, he became the subject of Von Strucker's experiments with Loki's Sceptre, and was given super speed.

When he joined Ultron in the fight against Earth's Mightiest Heroes, he caused them a lot of difficulty, disrupting Hawkeye's arrows, and knocking Cap off his feet several times. He was even able to stop Ulysses Klaue from shooting him and his sister, unloading his gun within the space of a fraction of a second.

After switching sides and joining the Avengers, Quicksilver was certainly not utilised quite in the same way as he had been under Ultron. He found himself moving the public out of the path of a moving train and evacuating buildings, but when he was called into the fight, he happily showed off the powers given by the infinity stone.

The MCU Quicksilver may be inferior to the X-Men version of the character, but there is no doubt that he would still be a huge asset and integral part of the Avengers had he not sacrificed himself to save Clint Barton's life on just his first mission with the team.
