Every MCU Credits Scene Ranked From Worst To Best

It's not always worth sitting through ten minutes of credits...

One of the biggest tropes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the credits scene. Aside from 2008's The Incredible Hulk and Avengers: Endgame, every MCU film and all of the Disney+ shows have at least one of 'em.

So, what makes a good MCU credits scene?

Well, it varies, but the best MCU credits scenes generally set up future films or shows in an exciting, tantalizing way and build upon the MCU's vibrant world and characters.

On the other end of the scale, the worst MCU credits scenes offer nothing but tedium and/or lame comedy - quite often a mixture of both - and often feel exceptionally insulting, especially considering that we sat through all those credits for them!

The credits scenes vary hugely both in content and in quality and with the long-awaited Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness finally out, it's a great time to see how the near-60 credits scenes in the MCU stack up.

Which is the best? Which is the worst? And have they ever topped that amazing first credits scene at the end of Iron Man? It's time to find out...

57. Captain Marvel - Goose Coughs Up The Tesseract

Avengers Infinity War Nick Fury
Marvel Studios

Scene: Goose the alien cat, while sitting on a desk, coughs up the Tesseract, which he'd earlier swallowed.

Oh for... seriously?

We sit through nigh-on ten minutes of end credits and this completely 'nothing' moment that isn't even funny is what we get?! Like, for real?!

This is, without question, the most tedious, pointless and insulting credits scene they could've done and frankly, it's likely many audience members were so pissed off they left the screening waving their middle fingers at the screen.

Really, the less said about this one the better, so moving swift on...
