Every MCU Dad - Ranked From Worst To Best

Due to Betty Ross seemingly being written out of the MCU without anybody caring, you might dismiss Thaddeus Ross from consideration here. After all, he’s stuck around in a fair few movies now, without any mention of him as a father coming up.

However, while we all sometimes pretend that The Incredible Hulk movie wasn’t a part of the MCU, it was. Yes, Betty has gone forever, Ed Norton has been recast and nothing has come of Abomination or the set up of The Leader... but it’s an MCU film still nonetheless.

That makes Thaddeus Ross a major enough MCU dad, as him being a father comprises a decent chunk of his arc here.

He doesn’t try to kill his child, unlike those below him, but does try to kill her boyfriend. He also lies to Bruce about curing him, instead using him for a military test, which is the final nail in the coffin of his relationship.

Betty largely refers to him coldly as ‘the General’ for most of the film afterwards. By the end, she’s disowned him entirely, which conveniently explains why she’s never been back.
