Every MCU Movie Ranked By Death Count
6. Thor: The Dark World - 331
As one of the consensus choices for the weakest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a title it will likely hold onto for the foreseeable future, there aren't many lists that Thor: The Dark World will sit this high on. If there is one thing the movie does well however, it's kill hoards of nameless characters.
The majority of the The Dark World's death count comes as part of three huge battle sequences, two of which kick off the movie. Asgard's war with the Dark Elves took over 100 lives before Thor, Lady Sif, and the Warriors Three killed over 70 more on Vanaheim.
The third set piece is Malekith's attack on Asgard, which came in the form of an uprising in Odin's dungeons, a battle in the sky above the city, and Malekith's ship ultimately touching down on Asgardian soil. Including the heartbreaking death of Frigga, this added a further 136 deaths.
The final battle actually saw relatively few lives lost, particularly compared to the rest of the movie. Thor and Loki killed eight Elves on the Dark World, one of Malekith's men was eaten by the monster they unleashed before the villain himself was crushed by his own ship, and weirdly, Jane's intern's intern killed four more Elves by crushing them with a car.
