Every MCU Villain Plot Ranked From Worst To Best
21. Selling The Yellowjacket Suit And Proving Hank Pym Wrong - Darren Cross (Ant-Man)
Ant-Man is the first of a few movies on this list that revolve around money. A lot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's heroes either have a lot of money, or have friends with lots of money. In the case of Scott Lang, his friend was Hank Pym.
This is also the first on this list where one of the villain's main motivations is jealousy. Darren Cross, former associate of Pym, became wildly jealous of Scott's relationship with his former mentor, and the fact that he never got let into the world of Ant-Man.
Cross eventually figured out a way to recreate the Pym Particles that made the Ant-Man suit shrink, and developed them into the Yellowjacket suit. The threat here came with the fact that Cross was willing to sell his suits to the highest bidder, including terrorist organisations like HYDRA and The Ten Rings.
A lot of this was for the money, but a lot was also to rub it in Hank Pym's face that he could be a success without him. He would have done anything to prove it, regardless of the amount of killing machines he would have created, and deaths that ultimately would have come from his business deal.
