A Kree soldier and mentor to Captain Marvel, Yon-Rogg was the leader of Starforce and an ally of Ronan the Accuser. Extremely strong and tough to overpower, even Captain Marvel struggled at one point to slow him down or outmaneuver his slippery evasion tactics or his superior fighting skills.

Originally set up as one of the good guys, it became apparent rather quickly that Yon-Rogg was only concerned with appeasing Ronan and wiping out the Skrulls. Manipulative and sly, Yon-Rogg's power lay in his superhuman abilities but also his deception, as he spent years convincing Marvel she was a Kree warrior destined to help destroy the Skrull Empire.

Once Marvel realised her true power, Yon-Rogg didn't last too long, but before that proved to be one of the franchise's most gifted and tough antagonists.
