Quentin Beck used to work for Stark Industries, but was left feeling betrayed when Tony fired him and left his life's work unfinished. Setting out to become a hero in his own right, he took the name Mysterio and, with the help of other former Stark employees, used powerful drones and deadly illusion tech to trick people into thinking he was saving them from villains known as the Eternals.

Able to use his immense fire-power to shoot down enemies that came his way, and use his illusions to throw-off his new rival Spider-Man, Mysterio was a seemingly untouchable bad guy who could manipulate and trick his way to victory against anyone who would fall for his tech.

In the end, his own confidence was his downfall, and he died having told the world about Peter's secret identity.
