In many ways the most tragic antagonist in the franchise, Ava Starr never really felt like a full-blown villain, but a misused and discarded weapon who just wanted to save herself from imminent death.

As a child, she watched her parents die in a quantum-related accident, and gained the ability to become intangible and invisible to the human eye.

Used for years as a weapon by SHIELD, Starr took the name Ghost and became a feared assassin, impossible to stop. With this power, she was able to take on both Ant-Man and the Wasp simultaneously. Unfortunately, the quantum that powered her was also killing her, and before she ran off and went into hiding, she had to be saved by Janet van Dyne.
