Every Michael Bay Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

11. Transformers: Age Of Extinction

Transformers: Age Of Extinction is the most disappointing entry in the entire franchise.

The trailers looked truly terrific, teasing some fantastic-looking Dinobot action and a slightly darker, less silly tone than the previous three movies, and with Mark Wahlberg in and Shia LaBeouf out, Extinction looked set to act as a pseudo-reboot for the series which would take it in a new, exciting direction.

But oh, how misjudged that conjecture was.

The movie certainly felt a little different, which was likely due to the brand-new lead, but everything else felt the same. The prospect of a fresh start for the series was washed away by another excessive runtime, thin plot and more misplaced humour, but this time, it felt worse because we all expected something different.

And, as another kick in the teeth, the Dinobots were in the movie for all of ten minutes, despite being plastered all over the marketing. Thanks, Michael.
