Every Michael Bay Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
12. Transformers: The Last Knight
And here's another!
Transformers: The Last Knight is another copy/paste Transformers movie that does little to rectify the many, many problems that have plagued the series for several movies.
Bay's trademark female objectification is present and correct, the action is pure visual noise and the editing is chaotic; amazingly, The Last Knight manages to feel even messier that its predecessors, with the story - which was devised by a writer's room - being the primary culprit.
You can feel the input each writer had on the movie - one guy yelled "I want Nazis!" and got his wish, while another screamed "I want Merlin!" and his colleagues agreed - and the result is akin to a small child being handed a sheet of paper, some crayons, and being told to draw Mona Lisa.
An absolute sh*tstorm.
You can at least sense the ambition behind it all but the movie just doesn't gel together, and besides a handful of entertaining action sequences, there's no reason to spend your hard-earned cash on Knight, when slapping on any of the previous movies at home would have the same mind-numbing, brain-cell-destroying effect.
