Every Michael Bay Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

9. Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is marginally better than the three movies that kicked off our list, but that's not saying much.

Every single flaw we mentioned when discussing the previous three movies can be found here, with a few extras; new female lead Rosie Huntington-Whiteley manages to make Megan Fox look like Cate Blanchett, and Shia Labeouf gives a career-worst - that's right - performance.

But, if you move the multitude of flaws to one side, Dark Of The Moon contains the series' best use of 3D. Bay's technical wizardry ensures that even his fast-paced action sequences - which are among the best in the franchise - remain watchable with that added dimension, a quality few other blockbusters can claim to possess.

But that's about it. Dark Of The Moon is the second-longest Transformers movie, and you can really feel it; after dozens upon dozens of explosions, crumbling buildings and robotic fistfights, the film will transform into an incomprehensible swirl of metallic, multi-coloured mush.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
