Every Mitchell And Webb Film And TV Project Ranked From Worst To Best
1. Peep Show
At number one, it was never realistically going to be anything else was it? Even with potentially long careers ahead of both, most would still expect this to be the defining show of the Mitchell and Webb partnership when all is said and done.
The show revolves around Mitchell’s Mark Corrigan and Webb’s Jeremy Usbourne, friends through circumstance from university that are now increasingly unsuitable flatmates. Whilst these roles are perfect for the two, there are a number of other factors that make the show so brilliant. Olivia Colman’s performance as Sophie has to be reassessed in light of her rise to the A-list, and fan favourite Matt King (Super Hans) is a regular scene stealer, even in such exalted company. This is without even mentioning brilliant single episode characters like Darryl and the distinctive POV voiceover style.
The series became the longest running show in Channel 4 comedy history and is greatly mourned by fans. However, with the show ending so poetically in the terrible choices of Mark and Jez leaving them both back at square one, it would almost be a shame to see it revived.
