Every Muppet Movie Ranked Worst To Best

When audiences found out that Disney would be bringing the Muppets back to the big screen, there was a sense of hesitance and reservation. While the characters have always been fun and wholesome, there was still a dark edge that kept them going, and it was thought that Disney might misunderstand this. However, the rebooted Muppets movie was a fantastic new story that was nostalgic and progressive simultaneously.

Feeling more like a large-scale Broadway musical, this film took the characters and pushed them to the max. Each central Muppet was given an important part to play and was treated with the respect they deserved. In addition to this, the introduction of Walter and his brother Gary delivered a great new Muppet and forged an emotional story.

The leading roles being characters outside of the Muppets was a wise move as it allowed the audience to enter the film as an outsider, no matter how familiar they might have been with the series. Although some of the cameos make the film feel dated, they also act like a time-capsule for the early 2010s, which is charming in its own right.

For all of those reasons, this surprisingly good reboot of the franchise ranks as one of its best entries.
