Every Philip Seymour Hoffman Movie Ranked Worst To Best
38. Leap Of Faith (1992)
Leap of Faith was one of Hoffman's first major films, and cast him in a small supporting role as a con artist working for an evangelical "faith healer" (Steve Martin) who travels around America scamming people with his "miracles."
There are some funny sequences scattered around the film thanks to the supporting power of a typically eager Hoffman and co-stars Lukas Haas, Meat Loaf and Liam Neeson, it's just that the film lacks a real dramatic centre to keep itself grounded. It's good fun and the ensemble makes it pop, but it's not the kind of film you're likely to seek out for a re-watch.
