Every Philip Seymour Hoffman Movie Ranked Worst To Best

30. Mickey Scarpato - God's Pocket (2014)

Phillip Seymour Hoffman Doubt
IFC Films

God's Pocket was the final movie released in Hoffman's lifetime, and it currently stands as one of his most misunderstood gems. It was directed by actor John Slattery and stars Hoffman as a sleazy alcoholic who tries desperately to hide his most damaging secrets from exposure.

God's Pocket is murky and amusing, and shows Hoffman - as well as co-star John Turturro - at the height of his powers. His character, Mickey, is the perfect outlet for his impeccable talents, allowing him to once more craft a complex and flawed man who, despite everything, you can't help but root for.
