Every Philip Seymour Hoffman Movie Ranked Worst To Best

47. Mitch - Patch Adams (1998)

Phillip Seymour Hoffman Doubt
Universal Pictures

Patch Adams, despite being a film about a doctor (Robin Williams) treating patients with laughter and joy, is unquestionably ugly. Williams does his best in the role, but the film's attempt at feel good dramedy comes off tasteless and sloppy, with Adams himself being Williams' most unbearable and shameless character.

Hoffman turns up sparingly as Adams' stoic roommate Mitch, and though he's probably the best thing in the otherwise troubling movie, he's not enough to keep it afloat.
