Every Philip Seymour Hoffman Movie Ranked Worst To Best
48. Duncan - Montana (1998)
Hoffman turns up in this misguided flop alongside Kyra Sedgwick, Stanley Tucci and Robbie Coltrane, and despite the talent involved Montana is not once able to overcome its blatant need to feed off the 90s Tarantino craze.
Montana is uber-violent and the script tries so desperately to appear stylish and smart that it ends up almost looking like satire. Even Hoffman's so-so turn as slippery criminal Duncan (the kind of role he would come to perfect during his career) isn't enough to save the film from disaster.
