Every Pixar Movie Ranked Worst To Best
16. Cars (2006)
The first of the Cars trilogy is pure bliss front to back, even if its plot isn't quit as imaginative or out there as other films in Pixar's back catalogue. Despite being about a world inhabited only by humanoid vehicles, it's still a quiet slice of realism that takes a look at fame, small towns ruined by the march of progress, and identity.
A constantly engaging comedy that uses the voice work of Owen Wilson, Michael Keaton, Bonnie Hunt and Paul Newman (in his final acting role) to perfection, Cars crafts a smart and endearing story out of Lightning McQueen's journey from arrogant boy racer to lovable champion - both on the track and off.
As noted, it's far from Pixar's most imaginative project, but Cars is without question one of its most timeless and beloved classics.
