Every Pixar Movie Ranked Worst To Best
17. A Bug's Life (1998)
Pixar's second film, A Bug's Life famously went head-to-head with Dreamworks' Antz in 1998, and though (for your writer's money, at least) Antz is the stronger of the two, A Bug's Life is still an undeniable blast of an animation.
The film follows a typical accidental hero type in Flik; a young ant who forms a gang of insects to protect his colony against a troupe of evil grasshoppers. The animation is charming for the time, but it's easily one of Pixar's least re-watchable efforts since it's so geared toward a younger audience rather than the whole family.
Between its iconic characters and top tier voice work from Dave Foley, Hayden Panettiere and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, though, A Bug's Life remains one of the studio's most recognisable instalments, and deserves props for solidifying its popularity.
