Every Pixar Movie Ranked Worst To Best
11. Coco
It has to be said outright that Pixar's meditation on life and death through the filter of the Mexican Day Of The Dead is another case of them taking an established idea and making it their own. The Book Of Life was already out when Coco was in the works and it's hard to avoid the comparisons.
But, as ever, Pixar made the story their own, adding more heartbreak, more heart and some nice songs along the way.
It's not one of the more kid-focused Pixar movies - and you have to suspect they won't have sold too many toys off the back of it - but that doesn't make it any more important, particularly if it helps younger kids start to understand death.
As you'd expect, the animation is flawless, the characters are great and the world building is some of Pixar's finest. It just misses out on the top ten because it lacks the same sort of character hooks as the very top level Pixars.
