When you think about it the real villain of Finding Nemo is the dentist who keeps giving his niece fish despite her tendency to kill them, but we'll ignore his ignorance and instead focus on the terrifying Darla.

Only in horror movies are children portrayed as demonic murderers, so it's fairly unique to see one turn up in an animated movie, let alone one who on the surface looks kind and innocent. Darla's effectiveness as a villain is especially impressive, given that she doesn't show up until the final act of the movie, but the sheer mention of her name sends the tank gang into meltdown.

She may not have known the harm that she was causing by shaking the bag that Nemo was in but it is nevertheless physically uncomfortable to watch.
