Every Rob Zombie Movie Ranked Worst To Best

5. 31 (2016)

The Devil's Rejects Captain Spaulding

31 is far from being a great film, but my god is it fun. This is what happens when Rob Zombie is let loose to do what he wants, and you can see that passion and enjoyment with every scene of this bloody nightmare of a movie. Set in the late-70s, the film follows five people who are kidnapped by a vicious gaggle of clowns and forced into a game of hunter vs hunted with their captors.

An unrestrained gore-fest, 31 offers up grisly torture scenes, chilling characters, explosive action and perhaps Zombie's greatest ever movie opening.

It's not quite as smart as his other pictures, and not as memorable from a character and plot stand-point, but it is a film guaranteed to stay with you and keep you up nights. Rob Zombie has always been a director who is undeterred by issues of violence and torture, and though 31 isn't his best made romp into madness, it does show off just how unabashed a filmmaker he can be.
