Every Rob Zombie Movie Ranked Worst To Best
1. The Devil's Rejects (2005)
When it comes to Rob Zombie, there is only one film that takes the crown as his best. The Devil's Rejects is the second instalment in the Firefly Trilogy, and still stands today as the filmmaker's masterpiece. Unlike House of 1000 Corpses before it and 3 From Hell after it, The Devil's Rejects is perfectly comfortable playing with genre and themes and mixing things up as only Zombie can.
In the film, Spaulding, Baby and Otis are on the run after their house is raided and their murderous rampages are uncovered. Hunted by the somehow equally unhinged sheriff John Wydell (William Forsythe), the trio find themselves not just on the run, but gleefully leaving death and destruction in their wake.
From the soundtrack to the four main performances (Haig is a usual stand-out, but Forsythe freezes blood), the action to the tension, The Devil's Rejects works on every level. It's not there simply to sicken and disturb, but entertain and excite, and in mixing his signature horror stylings with a dark and twisted road movie, Rob Zombie created his magnum opus.
