Every Saw Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

4. Saw VI

Saw VI Hoffman
Lionsgate

Following in the tradition of the Friday the 13th's sixth movie, Jason Lives, Saw VI managed to return the series to something approaching fighting form by not taking itself quite as seriously as its predecessors.

What makes this movie so entertaining is its social satire, with Jigsaw taking aim at America's predatory healthcare industry, while the traps feel more creative and darkly funny than ever (namely the Pound of Flesh and Shotgun Carousel traps).

It also doesn't trip over itself to shock viewers with an insane plot twist. Rather, Saw VI concludes with Hoffman finally proving his worth, escaping the reverse bear trap in memorably gnarly fashion. It doesn't try too hard and isn't as soullessly sadistic as the series' lesser films.
