Every Saw Trap Ranked From Worst To Best

29. Spiral - The Subway Trap

Trap: Marv Bozwick (Dan Petronijevic), a corrupt detective, was in a subway tunnel and was wearing a torture device. The only way to escape was to rip his tongue out or he would be hit by an oncoming train. Ultimately, he failed to escape in time.

Spiral's opening trap is a good one.

It's dragged down a little by how formulaic it is and also by the new killer's dreadful digitized voice, which sounds like a Muppet rather than a sinister serial killer, but it's still unpleasant (in a good way), stressful and well-conceived.
