A nasty, grisly Saw trap and one of the better ones from the hit-or-miss Saw III, The Classroom Trap is gory without tipping over into gratuitous territory and it makes for a frightening and intense opening trap.

Additionally, when it's revealed that the door was welded shut and it was never intended to be escapable (Amanda Young had begun making inescapable traps, against Jigsaw's wishes), that really raises the stakes for the film and it becomes clear that Jigsaw's games have become more deadly than ever.
