Every Saw Trap Ranked From Worst To Best

19. Saw V - The Water Cube Trap

Trap: The cube fills with water and supposedly drowns the victim, who was Peter Strahm in this case - it wasn't intended to be escapable.

This is the one great trap from Saw V.

The Water Cube is a thoroughly disturbing scenario as things stand, but the brilliantly clever way in which Strahm beats this supposedly inescapable trap raises this right up. He stabs himself in the throat, performing a tracheotomy, and thus allowing himself to breathe through the wound until he is rescued.

Without a doubt, this is the finest scene from the entire film.
