Every Saw Trap Ranked From Worst To Best

18. Jigsaw - The Shotgun Keys

Trap: The two surviving players in the game - Ryan (Paul Braunstein), who was once responsible for a car crash and Anna (Laura Vandervoort), who smothered her own baby in a fit of rage and framed her husband for it, who later killed himself - are chained by Jigsaw. They're left with a shotgun, loaded with one round. What they didn't know was that the keys were in the round and the shotgun would fire backwards, not forwards.

This was a really good ending to Jigsaw's first big game.

The dialogue was excellent, Tobin Bell's performance was as strong as ever and the downbeat ending - Anna tried to kill Ryan, but accidentally killed herself and destroyed the keys, dooming Ryan - was a smart bit of writing that felt entirely earned.

Speaking of which, that vile, evil piece of s**t getting her head blown open is possibly the most gloriously satisfying moment in any Saw film, so that makes it even better.
