Every Saw Trap Ranked From Worst To Best

13. Saw IV - The Bedroom Trap

Trap: Ivan (Marty Adams), a serial rapist, was strapped into a bed and in order to survive, he had to activate two triggers which would each cause a scythe to gouge his eyes out. If he failed to do this in time, the trap would pull off his limbs and kill him. He is eventually killed by the trap.

Easily the best trap from Rigg's Game, the Bedroom Trap is a very disturbing (but not gratuitously so) scene that doesn't half get under your skin.

Not only is it powerful and gruesome, but there's some seriously thought-provoking moral ambiguity here. Since Ivan was such a horrible person, viewers will inevitably start to wonder if Jigsaw was right to put him in this trap. This is highly unsettling all around.

Bar one distracting detail - Ivan wasn't given long enough to complete the test - this is a very effective trap and the film's best.
