Every Saw Trap Ranked From Worst To Best

6. Saw II - The Nerve Gas House

Trap: Seven people framed by the corrupt Detective Eric Matthews, alongside Eric's teenage son, wake up in a house. A poisonous nerve agent will kill them unless they find an antidote; several such antidotes are around the house in various small traps and also in a locked safe.

Meanwhile, Eric Matthews has apprehended Jigsaw only to discover that his son is in this trap. In order to locate his son, Jigsaw tells Eric he just has to sit and talk to him.

This was one superb central game.

It's consistently tense, virtually all of the characters in the game are engaging and well-played and Eric Matthews' part in the game was very well-done too. It led to another powerful and shocking twist ending, in which this corrupt cop faces the horrible consequences of his actions and his violent methods lead directly to his doom.

One can't help but wish more of the house had been shown and some of the house's smaller traps are forgettable, but this was still an excellent game overall.
